Promotion and Distribution of Resources in the Midwest Region
of WA
Farmers, We need your
help!
This campaign targets farmers and health professionals
and focuses on promoting, distributing and evaluating three safety
resources which were produced by the Australian Centre for
Agricultural Health and Safety (AgHealth). The resources in
question are:
· Farm Health and Safety
Toolkit for Rural General Practices
· The Great Idea
Bank
· Preventing Falls in Older
Farmers
Awareness of these resources in Western
Australia is deemed to be low and their appropriateness and
usefulness for WA farmers and Health providers is currently being
determined.
Recommendations and feedback provided
through our questionnaires will allow Farmsafe WA to make the
necessary adaptations to produce new material based on these
current resources. Further investigations on this campaign will be
carried out in the Great Southern region during
2013.
Appreciation and acknowledgement goes to all our
collaborative partners, reference group members, farmers, community
members and Health Professionals who have assisted us to date with
our evaluations.
If the outcomes of this project are
successful in the Midwest region, Farmsafe WA Alliance will be able
to further implement it in the Great Southern
region.
